While therapy can’t remove physical symptoms, it can help change how you relate to them. This often leads to reduced distress, less anxiety and low mood, and a greater sense of control and quality of life. Many people find they feel more able to cope and engage with life again.
-
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches are evidence-based and particularly helpful for managing the emotional impact of chronic pain and physical health conditions.
At times I will also use Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) where appropriate to support you in processing certain memories or images.
Sessions are always tailored to you.

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s been going on for you, what you’re hoping for from therapy, and how we might work together. There’s no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with.

Yes. Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy for many difficulties. Online sessions also offer flexibility and allow you to access support from the comfort of your own home, which can be especially helpful when managing physical health symptoms.
